A Wayfinding Kiosk is composed of 4 main software components:
- A Kiosk Web Application
- An Interactive Map
- A Digital Signage Media Player
- An Interactive Directory
Kiosk Web Application
A Kiosk Web Application is a universal responsive application that can run on a Digital Signage Kiosk, a mobile device, a tablet and of course a computer. It has multiple pages, and a navigation bar that adjust based on the type of device.
The Kiosk App is highly customizable and can be edited online with Eye-In Media online CMS Eye-Intelligence.
Interactive Directory
A Wayfinder needs a complete interactive directory to offer users with a complete list of departments and services that he can find on site. The Directory contains all kind of useful information, such as summary, contact info, services, hours, website, picture.
An Interactive Directory can list many types of items: services, products, buildings, departments, employees, systems, locations… Each Type of Directory item can be customized with it’s own fields.
On a Wayfinder Directory, each directory item can be positioned on the map.
Managing the Interactive Directory can be done by any employee, no training is required.
Interactive Map
The interactive map is a core component of a Wayfinder. It not only provides navigation instructions for visitors, but also locate the interactive directory and all the inventory equipment (such as Media Players).
Interactive Maps are Digitized and simplified by the Eye-In Team and can then be freely edited through our interface on Eye-Intelligence.
Digital Signage Media Player
The goal of the Media Player is to run the Kiosk App, and ensure it runs 24/7 while providing offline capabilities. Each Media Player customize the kiosk to adjust to many settings, like the location, the home page to use, the building in case there are many). Media Players are also doing the link between the Wayfinder and the physical location of the equipment on site.
Media players are configureddirectly on Eye-Intelligence CMS and no external integration is required.
